FAQs
for candidates

Q: Do you have a job for me?

A: Quite possibly.  We are a recruitment company concentrating on permanent placements and we represent clients who want us to search for, and shortlist suitable candidates for them to consider interviewing. The key information we need from you is the role you are considering, the location, the qualifications and experience which you have.

Q: I need a work permit – can you process this for me?

A: It would be for the potential employer to decide if they are prepared to apply for a work permit e.g. as a change of employer.  The application process is not as straightforward as it was a few years ago.  Generally speaking, our clients stick with UK and EU candidates who do not need a work permit.

Q: Please send me an application form.

A: First of all we need a copy of your full, up-to-date CV, including your contact details and work experience. Please e-mail your CV to us as a regular Word Document attachment.  It will help us to understand your interest even more if you include an e-mail which tells us who you are, what you are seeking and how good you are.

Q: Where do I send my CV?

A: Please send your CV as a regular Word Document attachment to admin@completecarepersonnel.co.uk with a note explaining what role you are interested in, and it will be forwarded to the appropriate person.

Q: How do I prepare a CV?

A: Included in this website is some information on preparing your CV, which will help you provide all the relevant information.
To summarise, your CV should include;

  • Your name and full contact details
  • Your qualifications and relevant training
  • Your work experience showing each employment with start/finish month/year dates, job location / employer with full address, job title, responsibilities and achievements
  • Your CV should be no more than 3 A4 pages

Q: Can I post or fax my CV to you?

A: The vast majority of potential employers (and recruiters) prefer to receive CVs by e-mail.  We strongly recommend that you prepare and transmit your CV as a Word Document attachment as it can be forwarded to potential employers speedily in this format.

Q:What happens when you receive my CV?

A: We look carefully through your CV and see how it compares with requirements and expectations of our clients. If we feel that you are a suitable candidate for a position, we will call you in order to conduct an initial telephone interview. If the telephone interview is a success we will forward your CV to our client(s) who will then advise us if they wish to make contact with you. They may want to interview you by telephone or invite you for a personal interview.  We will notify you and help to arrange this.

Q: What happens if I send my CV to you and I do not hear back from you?

A: We receive hundreds of CVs on a daily basis and read through them all.  If your experience or qualifications are not suitable for our current client vacancies then we will not call you for an initial interview.

Q: I am from and EU country and I am allowed to work in the UK - can you find me work?

A: Quite possibly.  We would need to assess your suitability for any positions that we have on offer and may direct you to one of our overseas contacts to assist you with any documentation. If you are from certain countries within the EU you will have to complete a Worker Registration Scheme (WRS) form on commencement of work in the UK.

Q:What is the Worker Registration Scheme?

A: WRS is a UK government scheme introduced to allow workers from Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia to work in the UK.  You must complete a new WRS form for every new employment during your first 12 months in the UK. This form needs to be completed within one month of you starting work.  For more information please visit our EU section of this website.
